近日上合组织秘书长张明接受CGTN主持人田薇专访，就此次峰会的主要任务、上合组织的目标，以及组织成员国合作等话题进行探讨。张明表示，上合组织成立以来就致力于为世界和平安全及发展繁荣助力。面临挑战，上合组织将与成员国加强合作，既为自身，也为地区，同时为了整个世界的繁荣与和平努力。
In a recent interview with CGTN’s Tian Wei, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming elaborated on the main tasks of the summit, the goals of the organization, and the status of cooperation among member states. Zhang said that since its establishment, the SCO strives to contribute to the world's peace and security, development and prosperity. Faced with challenges, the SCO will strengthen cooperation with member states, for itself, for the region, and for the entire world.张明介绍今年峰会的主要任务，一是讨论当前重大的国际问题和地区问题，力求维护地区的和平安全；第二方面是讨论如何进一步在当前的形势之下深化上合组织框架内的各领域的合作。According to Secretary-General Zhang, this year's summit will firstly see heads of state discuss major international and regional issues, with the goal to maintain regional peace and security. The second task is to discuss how to further develop more in-depth cooperation in various fields within the framework of SCO under the current situation.与其他国际组织相比，张明认为上合组织的特点在于其“上海精神”，奉行不结盟的原则，以合作为宗旨，通过合作来维护地区的和平与安全。无论大小、穷富，每一个成员国都是平等的，都在组织里有很高的舒适度。Compared with other international organizations, Zhang Ming believes that the SCO is distinguished by its adherence to the Shanghai Spirit. The organization seeks to unite but not to form alliances, and aims to maintain regional peace and security through cooperation. No matter how big or small, rich or poor, every member country is equal and feels comfortable in the organization. 就疫情和地缘政治冲突带来的能源和粮食安全问题，张明表示无论是出于上合组织自身的利益，还是地区和全球的利益，上合都不会无视这些问题。成员国将在峰会上就此展开讨论，力求维护全球能源安全和粮食安全。As the pandemic and geopolitical conflicts strain energy and food security, Zhang Ming said that SCO will not ignore these issues either for their own interests or for regional and global interests.
